Gudang diserbu, lebih 78,000 kotak arak dirampas - Sinarharian - 5/07 12:46 am KUCHING Sebuah gudang tiga tingkat yang dipercayai dijadikan lokasi penyimpanan lebih 78,000 kotak minuman keras tidak berkastam dibongkar menerusi serbuan polis dalam Op Taring Alpha 2 di Kuching, Sarawak pada Jumaat.Dalam operasi kira-kira jam 2.15 petang itu, tiga lelaki warga Indonesia berusia lingkungan 35 tahun turut diberkas, manakala pelbagai jenis minuman keras bersama tiga kontena dan dua forklift dirampas dengan nilai keseluruhan dianggarkan RM26.62 juta.Pengarah Jabatan Keselamatan Dalam Negeri dan Ketenteraman Awam (JKDNKA) Bukit Aman, Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri berkata, operasi bersepadu itu dilaksanakan susulan risikan berhubung aktiviti penyeludupan serta pengedaran minuman keras tidak berkastam di Sarawak.Menurutnya, serbuan dijalankan sepasukan pegawai dan anggota Wildlife Crime Bureau/Perisikan Siasatan Khas (WCB/PSK) JKDNKA Bukit Aman dengan bantuan Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Daerah (BSJD) Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Padawan serta Majlis Perbandaran Padawan."Hasil pemeriksaan di premis berkenaan menemukan pelbagai jenis minuman keras jenama yang disimpan di dalam gudang termasuk tiga kontena yang turut dipenuhi minuman keras dipercayai tidak berkastam."Turut dirampas ialah dua buah forklift yang dipercayai digunakan bagi kerja pemunggahan dan penyimpanan barangan berkenaan," katanya dalam kenyataan pada Ahad.Beliau berkata, kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 135(1)(d) Akta Kastam 1967 kerana memiliki dan menyimpan barangan tidak bercukai kastam."Kegiatan penyeludupan barangan tidak berkastam bukan sahaja menyebabkan ketirisan hasil negara, malah berpotensi menjadi pemangkin kepada jenayah rentas sempadan serta mengancam keselamatan dan ketenteraman awam."Tindakan tegas akan terus diambil terhadap mana-mana pihak yang terlibat dalam kegiatan penyeludupan rokok dan minuman keras, penyelewengan barangan kawalan serta bersubsidi dan apa juga bentuk pelanggaran undang-undang yang menjejaskan kepentingan negara," katanya.Mohd Yusri berkata, bagi tempoh 1 Januari hingga 4 Julai lalu, WCB/PSK JKDNKA Bukit Aman telah melaksanakan 199 serbuan di seluruh negara dengan kejayaan menahan 374 individu atas pelbagai kesalahan."Sepanjang tempoh itu, nilai keseluruhan rampasan yang direkodkan dianggarkan mencecah RM258.52 juta melibatkan penyeludupan barangan tidak berkastam, ketirisan barangan kawalan dan bersubsidi, penyeludupan hidupan liar serta operasi e-waste."PDRM akan terus memperhebat risikan, pemantauan dan operasi penguatkuasaan secara bersepadu selain menggesa orang ramai menyalurkan maklumat bagi membantu membanteras kegiatan penyeludupan dan jenayah terancang," katanya. |
