Meanwhile, Grace John Lee, 32, who works at the Sarawak Premier???s Department, shared that the SSPA salary increase has provided much-needed relief, particularly amidst the rising cost of living. She noted that the adjustment not only benefited her but also her three siblings, who are also civil servants. ???Last year, we pooled our resources to buy ingredients and cooked together in preparation for the open house. However, this year, with the salary increase, we decided to make the most of this blessing by opting for catering services for the open house. ???This not only saves time but will also allow us to focus more on welcoming and attending to our guests,??? she said. No second chances to choose SSPA - Public Service DG - SUN - 21/12 7:24 am CYBERJAYA: No second chances or time extensions will be granted to civil servants who failed to sign the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) option, which closed on Nov 30, said Public Service director-general Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz no longer an opportunity for them to make a choice. Therefore, they will have to remain in their existing system of choice. ???Actually, the number who did not choose the SSPA option is very small. In my opinion, this is unavoidable because, in any decision-making process, some accept and some don???t; this is normal,??? he said, adding that no action would be taken against those who did not opt for the SSPA. He said this to Bernama and RTM during his attendance as a guest at the staging of the Public Service Theatre production Lara Wirang at the Dewan Tun Canselor, Multimedia University here yesterday. It was reported that only 0.13 per cent or 1,400 of the 1.5 million civil servants did not sign the SSPA option. Wan Ahmad Dahlan also expressed his appreciation to civil servants who had opted for the SSPA, noting that they had already received their first salary increment yesterday following adjustments under the SSPA scheme. ???This proves that what Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated earlier has been fulfilled,??? he said. It was performed by 95 multiracial civil servants from various federal and state agencies, statutory bodies, and local authorities, as well as university students, in strategic collaboration with the Public Service Department (JPA). Since 2014, the JPA has taken the initiative to hold Public Service Theatre performances as an essential feature of the Genta Bahasa ceremony. The ceremony marks the conclusion of the National Language Month for the public sector and serves as an appreciation event by the JPA for civil servants who have excelled in efforts to uphold the national language through various linguistic and literary initiatives. On Nov 12, the government established a Centralised Call Centre for the SSPA to provide accurate information and address any confusion among civil servants about the new system. Since the introduction of the SSPA via Service Circular No. 1 of 2024 on Sept 13, 54 engagement sessions have been conducted to explain the new remuneration system. The SSPA is part of a broader Public Service Reform Agenda aimed at enhancing public service quality and easing the cost of living for civil servants. |

PM Anwar gesa penjawat awam tingkatkan prestasi selaras pelaksanaan SSPA - SUN - 2/12 3:43 pm PUTRAJAYA : Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim menggesa penjawat awam untuk meningkatkan prestasi selaras dengan kenaikan gaji yang bermula bulan ini, susulan pelaksanaan Sistem Saraan Perkhidmatan Awam (SSPA) yang berkuat kuasa semalam yang saya tekankan, kita setuju dengan ini (SSPA) kerana kita mengiktiraf dan menganggap ia wajar diberikan. PM Anwar urges civil servants to improve performance in line with implementation of SSPA - SUN - 2/12 10:58 am PUTRAJAYA : Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on civil servants to significantly enhance their performance in line with the salary increase under the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) (SSPA) because we recognise and believe it is a fair measure. I only hope that all of you (civil servants) will ensure much better performance because the public expects improved services, he said at the monthly assembly of the Prime Ministers Department here today. Also present were Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, as well as Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar. ALSO READ: 85% of 1.4 million civil servants have signed SSPA option - KSN Anwar also urged civil servants to give their full support to Shamsul Azri, who has taken several steps for the reform of the civil service. I hope for full support because people want to see (reform) at the grassroots level, in districts and ministries, he said.
