How to change what the iPhone 16 Camera Control button does - 26/12 10:15 pm Unless you've gone looking in System Settings, you may not be aware that the Camera Control button on the iPhone 16 models can be set to do other functions besides set up and take a picture. Here's how to change it. The Camera Control button is currently unique to the iPhone 16 lineup. Ending Google search partnership would hamstring Apple, says Eddy Cue - 25/12 4:57 am In a declaration filed on Monday, Apple's senior vice president of services, Eddy Cue , asserted that Apple has no interest in creating its own search engine and would prefer to continue to use Google. In 2022, Google paid Apple $20 billion to be the default search engine on its devices. The result was a boon for both Google and Apple, with Apple receiving about 36% of the ad revenue generated from Safari search result advertising. The declaration, spotted by Reuters , is Apple's attempt at .. defending Google. Cue's stance is the same one that the company has defended for quite some time now. Google issues its remedies proposal in antitrust case surrounding its .. - 24/12 8:09 am As part of an ongoing antitrust case related to its search engine, Google has submitted proposed remedies responding to the court decision, including how Apple may be affected. Google has issued its remedies proposal in an ongoing antitrust lawsuit. Google has been the subject of multiple antitrust lawsuits since 2023 , when it was accused of knowingly breaking antitrust laws. The DOJ said that the company was an illegal monopoly in the search market, and courts eventually agreed with this .. assessment in August of 2024. Now, Google has taken the next step , after which it plans to submit an appeal. Before Google can file an appeal, it's required to file a remedies proposal. The proposal outlines the steps Google could take in order to rectify the issues highlighted in the court's initial decision.
